Sounds like the opposite of what should be happening right? Well there is an old house on the property where the park will be. This month, the City of Gonzales will be demolishing the dwelling and taking down the trees considered unsafe for our park!! Be looking for some progress in the form of destruction. Thanks to our great City for paving the way, one step closer to our ground-breaking event!

OUR AWESOME DESIGN TEAM!
This section dedicated to Glenn and Glenda Shaheen, owners of GSA Consulting Engineers, Mark Maher, Project Engineer with GSA, Micheal Buturla, Architect with Domain Designs, and Wes Wilkerson, Landscape Architect with Benchmark Group. All have honorably donated their services to making Kidz Kove Discovery Park a reality in Gonzales, Louisiana. Currently they are working to formulate a preliminary master plan for the park!
Update on total funds raised
We are well over the half-way point on our way to 'weighing anchor' for our park and our kids! We have a new total of $430,000 raised!
To date we have raised approximately $275,000 toward our goal of $750,000. No donation amount is too small. Your contribution brings us one step closer to making this park a reality for all Ascension Parish children.
KIDZ KOVE DISCOVERY PARK SITE AND EQUIPMENT
The site for Kidz Kove Discovery Park! Surveying and topography have been done (donated by T. Baker Smith) on our site to assist with site plan development. Thanks again to the City of Gonzales for designating the land, and for removing the house and any obstructing trees (though as many as possible will be left in place for shade); and to T. Baker Smith!
Project Kidz Kove has the equipment picked out for Kidz Kove Discovery Park (see below) and we are currently working on an agreement with an architect, William Keeley, who has offered his services pro-bono. Our equipment vendor is Eve Werner, owner of Dyna-Play, distributor of Landscape Structures Incorporated. We are also working with Beth Johnson from No-Fault Sports Group, the supplier of our safety surfacing.
